The little car clinic took the plunge in 2010 and entered ‘Take One Small Step’, a national competition run by Barclays with the opportunity to win a whopping £50,000 to kick start your company.
The competition led to the creation of Aunty Elsie to explain the concept of the little car clinic in a fun and vibrant way. This film was uploaded onto the competition website to gather interest and support for our entry.
And it very much did the job, securing our spot in the top 1% of the competition. A mad month followed as the little car clinic went on the road, quite literally. From shopping centres, local radio and family fun days we were there, plugging away! Unfortunately, we were pipped to the post but the competition enabled us to develop our brand and then secure financial backing from Lloyds TSB in Norwich. Follow Aunty Elsie on Facebook
